چکیده

Glycerol monolaurate (GML), a representative fatty acid glyceride, was used to promote growth. This study investigated the effects of GML in diets on growth, serum biochemical parameters, antioxidant capacity, liver morphology and lipid metabolism for juvenile pompano Trachinotus ovatus . Six groups T. (mean weight = 14.00 ± 0.70 g) were fed with six diets, containing varying levels 0.00% (G0), 0.05% (G5), 0.10% (G10), 0.15% (G15), 0.20% (G20), 0.25% (G25) 8 weeks. Fish reared floating cages (length: 1 m; width: height: 2 m). The highest gain rate (WGR), specific growth (SGR), protein deposit (PDR) observed G15 group ( P < 0.05). Hepatic glutathione peroxidase, total capacity superoxide dismutase activities significantly increased G10 compared G0 0.05), whereas hepatic malondialdehyde (MDA) reduced alkaline phosphatase activity higher G5, G10, G15, G20 than AKP group. Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) lower G20, G25 addition feed triglyceride (TG) content In comparison group, had cholesterol high-density lipoprotein Low-density G5 Serious vacuolation occurred but cell boundaries all added obvious, intracellular vacuolization decreased. As level increased, carnitine palmitoyl-transferase Ι mRNA up-regulated expression synthesis that sterol regulatory element-binding protein-Ι Based broken-line model WGR PDR corresponding levels, optimum dietary 0.14%-0.16% conclusion, improved performance, ability, protected

Effects of astaxanthin on antioxidant capacity of golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) in vivo and in vitro

The objective of this research was to study the effect of astaxanthin (AST) on growth performance and antioxidant capacity in golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) both in vivo and in vitro. In the in vivo study, two diets were formulated with or without astaxanthin supplementation (D1 and D2; 0 and 200 mg/kg) to feed fish for 6 weeks. In the in vitro study, cells from hepatopancreas of golden po...

Effects of dietary different lipid sources on plasma metabolites in silvery-black porgy (Sparidentex hasta) juveniles

In the current study the plasma metabolites of silvery-black porgy (Sparidentex hasta) juveniles fed with different lipids sources were analyzed in order to bio-monitoring fish health condition. In this regard, an eight-week feeding trial was conducted using seven isonitrogenous (50%) and isolipidic (20%) experimental diets : FO, CO (canola oil), SO (sunflower oil), T (tallow), FC (fish oil + c...

Water temperature induces jaw deformity and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) gene expression in golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae

Golden pompano Trachinotus ovatus larvae were kept at 26, 29 and 33 °C for 15 days from 3-day post hatching (DPH) to 18 DPH to test temperature-dependent growth and jaw malformation. The growth, survival, jaw deformity and the gene expressions of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) were used as criteria to examine the fish response to temperature manipulation. The growth rate of fish at 29 or 33...

Complete genome sequence and comparative genomics of the golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) pathogen, Vibrio harveyi strain QT520

Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative, halophilic bacterium that is an opportunistic pathogen of commercially farmed marine vertebrate species. To understand the pathogenicity of this species, the genome of V. harveyi QT520 was analyzed and compared to that of other strains. The results showed the genome of QT520 has two unique circular chromosomes and three endogenous plasmids, totaling 6,070,846 ...
